The days of killing trees and time with requirements docs is over.  Agile development methods solve many problems, some of which are the lower cost and time frame to deliver. Most important though, is that it produces a much better product.

The SCRUM method, or adapted version we use is an approach that puts complex situations in context for humans to understand.  These humans have ideas, opinions and make assumptions about what they know, or think they know.  SCRUM cuts to the chase in short bursts of effort, achieving mini-milestones.  It never lets someone get so far down a path, creating waste or worse, a need to defend their assumptions and actions.

Our team meets often, does detail mockups, click models and usability testing, BEFORE we code anything. It works. It’s nice.
